Laser Spot Treatment
Our skin is a reflection of what we experience.
However, the harmful effects of the sun, hormonal changes, aging or problems such as acne can cause unwanted blemishes and tone inequalities on our skin. These blemishes can cast a shadow on the healthy and smooth appearance of the skin.

Discover the Spotless Radiance of Your Skin
Laser spot treatment, targeting these pigmentation problems located on the surface or deep layers of the skin giving the skin a clearer, homogeneous and luminous tone is one of the most effective medical technologies.
What is Skin Blemish and Why Does It Occur?
Skin blemishes (hyperpigmentation) occur when the pigment melanin, which gives the skin its color, is produced and accumulated in a certain area more than normal. This makes some areas of the skin appear darker than the surrounding skin.
Major Causes of Blemish Formation:
Solar Radiation: Unprotected exposure to UV rays is the most common cause of blemish formation.
Hormonal Changes: Processes such as pregnancy and use of birth control pills can lead to hormonal spots called melasma.
Coming of Age: Lentigos, also known as "age spots", are a cumulative result of years of sun exposure.
Skin Damage (Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation): After acne, pimples, wounds or incorrect cosmetic applications, blemishes may remain on the skin.
Genetic Predisposition: Pigmentation problems, especially freckles, can be genetic.
How Does Laser Spot Treatment Work?
The basic principle of laser spot treatment is based on the effect of "selective photothermolysis". The laser light is absorbed only by the dense melanin pigment that gives the stain its color, without damaging the normal tissue of the skin.
This light energy absorbed by melanin is converted into heat energy, breaking the pigment clumps into very small particles. The body's own immune system naturally removes these fragmented pigments from the skin over time.
As a result, the color of the stain fades, lightens and the skin tone evens out.

Lazerle Spot Treatment Application Process
The treatment begins with a detailed skin analysis and consultation by Dr. Melis Ülger. At this stage, the most suitable laser device and treatment protocol are determined by evaluating the type and depth of your blemish and your skin type.
The skin is cleaned before the procedure and anesthetic cream is usually not required.
During the laser pulses, the skin may feel a slight tire bump or pinprick sensation. The procedure is quite comfortable.
The treatment takes between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the size and prevalence of the stain.
For the treatment to be effective, multiple sessions (on average 3-6 sessions) may be required, usually at 2-4 week intervals.
Post-Treatment Process and Things to Consider
After laser spot treatment, it is very important to pay attention to maintain the success of the procedure and the health of the skin.
After the procedure, a slight redness and edema may be seen on the skin, which regresses within a few hours.
The color of the treated spots may initially darken temporarily and a thin crust may form on them. These crusts fall off spontaneously within 7-10 days. The crusts should never be peeled off.
The most important rule is sun protection. Protecting your skin with a high-factor (SPF 50+) and broad-spectrum sunscreen every day during and after treatment is critical to prevent the recurrence of spots.
Gently cleansing the skin and using restorative, soothing creams recommended by your doctor supports the healing process.
Frequently Asked Questions About Laser Spot Treatment
The ideal period for laser treatments is the fall and winter months when the effect of the sun decreases. However, it can also be performed in other seasons if effective sun protection is provided.
With treatment, a lightening and disappearance of -90% of the spots can be achieved. However, if you have skin that is prone to spot formation and especially if you do not pay attention to sun protection, there is always a risk of new spots forming.
Although the pain threshold varies from person to person, the procedure is generally well tolerated. Apart from a momentary and mild stinging sensation, no serious pain is felt.
Take the first step to say goodbye to the blemishes on your skin and get a smoother skin.
